This Week's Notable Releases: Faust (1926), Living In Oblivion, and Pitfall
Faust (1926) Some pretty cool discs are being released this week. Check out these new titles: Faust (1926) [review] - F. W. Murnau was given carte blanche to bring to the screen his version of Goethe's classic tale, and the result is a magnificent silent classic; Living In Oblivion: 20th Anniversary Edition [review] - one of the funniest comedies of the '90s, and a big part of its lasting appeal came from Steve Buscemi's performance as an overtaxed director simply trying to finish his zero-budget indie film; and Pitfall [review] - a top tier film noir... It's suspenseful, exciting, occasionally quite twisted while at the same time delivering plenty of slick, visual style and some crafty, interesting characters to latch onto. Be sure to check out our DVD Talk Review Database for all the latest reviews including an entire section devoted to reviews of DVDs out this week.

Movies in Theaters: Steve Jobs, Suffragette, and Spectre
Steve Jobs Planning a trip to the local multiplex this weekend? Here are DVD Talk's reviews of the latest theatrical releases: Steve Jobs - a fast-paced, emotional, uncomfortable, and sometimes overwhelming all-access pass to the life of the revolutionary man; Suffragette - this story of the women's rights movement in early 1900s England is inspirational, well-paced, and genuine; and Spectre [a second review] - the fourth Bond film since Casino Royale's reboot, it's littered with evidence that the producers of the series still haven't quite figured out what James Bond means in the 21st century.

Other recent films include: Bridge of Spies, Room , Sicario, Pan, The Martian (3D), Pawn Sacrifice, and Straight Outta Compton. Check out these, and more, in DVDTalk's Theatrical Review section.

Other recent reviews include: Strange Invaders, Home Alone: 25th Anniversary Ultimate Collector's Edition, and The Mighty Quinn.  Visit the DVD Talk Review Database for all the latest reviews including an entire section devoted to reviews of DVDs out this week.
