The Aisle View: American Wedding, Northfork and The Magdalene Sisters
The cast of American Pie is back (well, some of them) for the third and final installment of the American Pie trilogy: American Wedding. Hollywood Homicide
Columbia Tri-Star has announced the DVD release for the Josh Hartnett/Harrison Ford buddy flick Hollywood Homicide. Set for release on October 7th Hollywood Homicide will be be presented in both widescreen and fullscreen with Dolby Digital 5.1 audio and feature: Audio commentary from Director Ron Shelton (who also Directed Dark Blue). Disney has announced the DVD release for their smash hit animated film Finding Nemo. DVD Talk Interview: My Brother's Keeper - Joe Berlinger and Bruce Sinofsky
Joe Berlinger and Bruce Sinofsky are two filmmakers that when working together, they have become known for their narrative documentary style. They first drew attention at Sundance in 1992 with Brother's Keeper which went on to win the Audience Award. Their later films together, "Paradise Lost" and "Revelations: Paradise Lost 2" earned them equal praise while thrusting them further into the spotlight. On the 10th Anniversary of their first collaboration together, Docurama has released a DVD of Brother's Keeper and DVDTalk writer Phillip Duncan had a chance to ask them about the Ward Brothers, their feelings toward authority and upcoming film with Metallica. This Week's Notable DVDs
An interesting mix of Notable DVD this week including: Fox's Solaris [Review] - Steven Soderbergh's update of the Stanislaw Lem Sci-Fi classic and Daredevil [Review] - a must for any Jennifer Garner fans. From Lions Gate comes The Last Minute [Review] - a strange and quirky film from the Director of Blade. Speaking of strange Columbia Tri-Star has Spider [Review] - David Cronenberg's most subtle and subdued work to date. This week Disney has a treat for the kids with Piglet's Big Movie a charming theatrically released animated film. Buena Vista has the critically acclaimed The Quiet American which IS extremely good and Media Blasters gets on the radar screen with Herschell Gordon Lewis' return to gore in Blood Feast 2: All U Can Eat and the Zombie Samurai flick Versus.

Once Upon a Time in The West
Sergio Leone fans will be excited to hear that Paramount Home Video will be releasing Once Upon a Time in The West on November 18th! Once Upon a Time in The West will be released as a 2 Disc Special Edition presented in anamorphic widescreen with Dolby Digital 5.1 audio and feature: the completely restored 165 minute version of the film and feature: Audio Commentary with John Carpenter, John Milius, Alex Cox, and film historian Christopher Frayling and members of the film crew, a three part documentary (running 82 mins!) covering Sergio Leone's career, the background for the film, writing and casting the film, on location, the style of the film and it's impact on the Western Genre, a featurette on the impact of the railroad on the Old West, and a photo gallery Pre-Order Once Upon a Time in The West at DVDEmpire

A Decade Under the Influence
Docurama in conjunction with IFC have announced the DVD Release for A Decade Under the Influence. Co-directed by the late Ted Demme (Blow) and Richard LaGravenese (Living Out Loud) A Decade Under the Influence takes a look at American cinema during the 1970s, a singular decade during which every aspect of filmmaking was profoundly changed. Set for release on September 30th A Decade Under the Influence feature the original documentary along with additional interviews and behind the scenes material.
