Schlockcast: Land of the Dead

Resident Evil. 28 Days Later. A certain remake. We zombiphiles tolerated 'em. OK, even embraced them. But for all their glitter and grue they lacked The Master's touch. That Romero twinkle. No more! Schlockcast: Seed of Chucky

An uneasy aspect of podcast technology is that y'all can hear me gush about Jennifer Tilly's terrific turn in Seed of Chucky instead of my merely chicken-pecking effusive prose. Try not to think less of me as that much heaving cleavage over an 86-minute running time -- compounded by oodles of grue and gut guffaws -- would surely fell any CineSchlocker. Instead, fixate on Ms. Tilly her-salivatory-self thanks to yours truly's secret stash of audio from Comic-Con. Listen using the handy Online DVD Talk Radio Player or download the complete schlockcast (23 mins, 16 mb).
Stay for the duration (I dare ya!) and ...

Discover the unseemly side of Tobe Hooper's Toolbox Murders, ahem, retool. (Pssst! Stick with the orginal!) B-babe Glori-Anne Gilbert tackles dual roles in Lust Connection featuring Triple-X siren Chasey Lain. Columbine begets Duck! The Carbine High Massacre.

Think the genre needs another slasher spoof? The earnest folk behind Severe Injuries do. Super-Tromette Bulimia returns for Troma's EDGE TV Volume 2. Plus, at last, a musical for slapstick-savoring kung fu fans arrives in the hobbit-approved Tongan Ninja. All in my marathon schlockast!

DVD Talk Radio: John Waters

DVD Talk honcho Geoff Kleinman has an outstanding interview with CineSchlocker idol John Waters about A Dirty Shame, the state of exploitation cinema and the umpteen projects John's juggling -- such as Cry Baby's Broadway bow. Listen to Geoff's interview using the Online DVD Talk Radio Player or download the complete interview (15 min, 9.7 mb).

Situation Normal. All F'd Up!

Remember those teehee-riffic end credit outtakes during the first season of Mail Call? At last, CineSchlocker idol R. Lee Ermey is offering an hour-long blooper reel dubbed Mail Call: S.N.A.F.U., which through the miracle of DVD, can be beheld in both "XTRA-SALTY" and "Family Friendly" versions. Such yuks don't come cheap, though, at $26.90 stock or $31.90 signed!
