Readers Choice Top DVDs of 1999
At the end of December we published our List of the Top 10 DVD's of 1999, but it isn't nearly as interesting as yours! We asked you to pick the top films from 1999 and from those votes we've built this DVD Talk Readers Choice Top 10 DVD's of 1999!

Readers Choice Top 10 of 1999
1. The Matrix
The Matrix takes the top spot in the DVD Talk Readers Choice Top 10 with a whopping 47% of the votes! We had The Matrix ranked #7 in the DVD Talk Top 10 List but there's no denying that this DVD is one hot DVD! If you haven't watched this DVD in a while we suggest you give it another spin, the louder the better :)

2. Saving Private Ryan
A good number of you cast your votes for Saving Private Ryan which takes the number 2 spot on your top 10 with a sold 11.31% of the votes. Saving Private Ryan was also voted the top War Film on DVD in a recent DVD Talk Poll. We didn't have it on DVD Talk Top 10 List but are happy to see it so high on your list. If you've got a DTS receiver you're in for an amazing experience with one of the best DTS transfers available on DVD!

3. James Bond Collection
When we put together the DVD Talk Top 10 List we didn't consider box sets, but you did! With 6.53% of the votes the James Bond Collection takes the #3 spot on your top 10 list. If you are a Bond fan this collection will put you on cloud 9, with more extras and goodies than even the most fanatical of Bond fan can consume. Definitely one for your collection.

4. Bug's Life Collector's Edition
One of the closest matches between the DVD Talk Top 10 List and the Readers Choice List, we had Bug's Life Collector's Edition ranked in our #2 spot, but with 6.02% of your votes it only hit #4 on your list. Either way there's no denying this is one fantastic DVD with unparalleled picture!

5. Brazil Criterion
If you are a fan of Brazil you won't find a more faithful treatment of it than your #4 pick. With 4.43% of the votes you've given a rining endorsement to this excellent Criterion Edition. While it didn't make DVD Talk Top 10 List we can definately agree that this is one amazing DVD!

6. Armageddon: Criterion Edition
Another close match, we had Armageddon: Criterion Edition in our #5 spot in the DVD Talk Top 10 List and with 3.92% of the votes, you had it in your 6th! Compared side by side with the origional release this DVD is a perfect example of why you expect more from DVD Releases. If the Armageddon DVD was good, the Armageddon: Criterion Edition is simply fantastic!

7. Aliens
Another great movie that didn't quite fit into DVD Talk Top 10 List Aliens takes the #7 spot with 3.47% of the vote. One of the best DVD's from the Alien Legacy Collection the Aliens DVD is definately one to buy!

8. Prince of Egypt
This animated masterpiece took the #4 spot on the DVD Talk Top 10 List and with 3.07% of the vote lands at #8 on your top 10 list. Fantastic picture, sound and extras make Prince of Egypt a favorite for both children and adults. A truly enjoyable DVD!

9. Out Of Sight
Our #1 pick from the DVD Talk Top 10 List does make your list (whew, we're not crazy after all). With 2.95% of the vote, many of you cast your vote for this unlikely top 10 candidate. But watch the Out Of Sight
DVD a few times and we're sure it'll creep up you list of favorite DVD's!

10.
The Mummy SE
Although it did not make the DVD Talk Top 10 List, we did thouroghly enjoy your #10 pick. With 2.39% of your votes The Mummy SE is also a strong endorsement for Widescreen, something that Universal gave a real choice on with this edition.
