I Wish You Would

THE MOVIE
It's probably important to point out from the start that the version of I Wish You Would that I was sent to review was the hardcore, rather than the softcore version. This means that the one I got to see actually contained some (although not a lot) visible finger and toy penetration between the women during their sex scenes. Since eroticism is the main point of this release, I'm not sure that viewing the movie without seeing such action is going to have much appeal – but I'm still going to recommend this one for a rental.
The movie showcases five lesbian vignettes between different women – with the "catch" being that one woman from the previous scene goes on to have sex with a different woman in the next scene, so that all of the relationships tie together in the end. I guess it's true what they say: when you sleep with someone, you're not only sleeping with them, but with every person they've ever slept with!
I got the impression from the layout of the disc and the box cover (which is pretty ill-chosen considering some of the attractive women on this DVD) that the makers of this movie wanted to appeal to the lesbian (or bi-curious) women out there, as well as guys who enjoy seeing women with one another. However, the situations that lead up to the sex are so "porn cliché", that I doubt many females (or many men for that matter) are going to buy the proceedings – leaving the viewer with only the sex to draw any entertainment value from.
First up is a realtor named Daisy, who is showing a house to a flight attendant named Jennifer. Daisy gets a phone call, and – believe it or not – Jennifer decides it's a good time to strip down and test out the house's bathtub. This, naturally, leads to Daisy getting naked too, and the two women heading into the bedroom for a little sexual tryst. As I said above, the situations leading up to the sex aren't very realistic.
The movie then goes back a year in time and we see Jennifer again, this time in a situation where she leaves her front door open while she goes out back by her pool to masturbate. A security guard named Judy shows up to check out the house and – you guessed it – the two eventually start making out.
Next, we flashback in time even further and see Judy teaming up with a bartender named Shelby. This is followed by a scene in which Shelly makes out with a mechanic named Myra; and then a final scene in which Myra meets up with Daisy, the girl from the very first scene.
THE DVD
Video:
The movie appears to have been shot on video, and looks pretty decent when compared to other "adult" releases, but it's certainly nothing to write home about, either. I didn't notice any pixelation or grain problems, so viewers should be happy with what they see here.
Audio:
The audio is presented in 2.0 Dolby, and is satisfactory enough, considering the content of this disc. The voices and music are properly balanced, and I have no real complaints with the quality of the sound.
Extras:
Here's where it gets a little goofy. There were no extras whatsoever (other than a chapter selection) on the hardcore version of the DVD that I was sent for review. However, I've noticed on the box cover for retailers that are selling the softcore version that a featurette entitled "Hey Sailor, Hey Sister" is included.
Since I have no way of knowing the quality or length of that bonus, I've split the difference on my "Extras" rating – but be sure to check with the retailer you are buying from (should you choose to pick up this DVD) so you know both which version of the movie and what extras you may be getting.
THE BOTTOM LINE
Since I can't quite recommend the hardcore version I viewed for purchase (if you're going to buy something hardcore in the all-girl genre, there are titles much more sensual and erotic than this to choose from), I don't think the softcore version will hold much appeal, either. However, because it was decently shot and contains a number of attractive women, I'm still giving a nod towards a rental on this one.
