Sword for Truth

List Price: Unknown [Buy now and save at Amazon]

Review by Jeff Field | posted September 24, 2000 | E-mail the Author
Features: Animated Menus, Studio Trailers

The Movie: The movie revolves around Shuranosuke Sakaki, a master swordsman, as he fights a group of bandit Ninjas in order to rescue the Princess who he has been hired to save. Much sex, bloodshed and fighting ensues.

The Picture: The picture is fine, with few artifacts, although it is a bit dark at times. It is presented in full screen.

The Sound: 2 Channel Stereo. It is clear, but not as impressive as it might be in 5.1 surround.

Extras: Studio Trailers for other Manga movies, and animated menus

Conclusion: If you are a fan of anime as I am, you will like this movie, if you aren't then you probably will not enjoy it. If you've never seen anime, I'd suggest start with another Manga movie, Ninja Scroll.
