Synopsis:20 years after Batman hung up his cowl & cape, the streets of Gotham are alive with a new breed of terror. It seems that justice needs a champion. Bruce Wayne is now an old and bitter man. In no shape to fight for the cause of the just & the right. Enter Terry McGuiness, a young man with grace & skill but an attitude a mile wide. Video:As the series is television based, the disc is presented in full frame. However, the colors are beautifully done. Vibrant really doesn't cover the quality of the images as presented on this disc.
Audio:The audio although only Dolby Digital Stereo, is simply blistering! In a word, the audio on this disc Rocks! From the score to the dialogue, the disc simply kicks major butt!
Extras:The extras include a trailer for the feature film, very well produced, & 4 additional epsiodes. Each one giving you a little more information on the title character.
Overall:I have always been a fan of Batman so this was no hard task. Batman Beyond brings Batman into the 21st century with a bang! It's storylines & execution are among the best yet produced. As far as animation goes, we are still decades behind the attention to detail & absolute awesomeness of Anime however, Batman Beyond is a nice entry into the American animated medium!
