Without Limits
Video: Without Limits is presented in a 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen transfer, with the pan and scan version on the flip side of the disc. This is a high grade transfer, but not quite perfect. The print has some, although minimal, wear signs, but nothing distracting. Colors are solid, but a little muted at times. This happens infrequently, usually the colors are vivid and bright. Black levels are solid throughout, ensuring total detail in even the darkest scenes. I could also find no trace of compression errors.
Audio: I was surprised with the disc when it comes to audio. I did not expect much from it, even with a 5.1 track included. The movie is not the type you would expect great surround use from, but it turned me into a believer! The surrounds are in regular use, not constant, but the activity is frequent. While not speaker shaking, the audio is smooth, and uses the surrounds for mood and theme. This disc proves you don't need explosions or gun shots to get a great sounding surround mix. The music sounds great, and the dialogue is excellent as well.
Extras: Warner issued this disc with only the theatrical trailer and production notes included.
