Synopsis:Julia Roberts & Dennis Quaid play an upscale couple who have gotten so wrapped up in the normal routines of life that they've fallen out of touch with one another. Quaid has had a couple of affairs as a result while Roberts, has become a mistress to her work & mourns daily for her unrealized dreams. As the pressure mounts the couple splits to addres their individual issues & in turn make the lives of all those around them quite hellish indeed.

Audio:The audio platform offers both Dolby Digital Stereo & 5.1. Pretty lackluster presentation that really had no bells clicks or whistles. The soundtrack was not that engaging & there was little to no use of the surrounds.

Video:The video is a non anamorphic widescreen presentation that was a little too soft for my taste. I'm not sure if it was a camera trick or just a poor rendering. In any event, the lack of sharpness & clarity of the image was noticable & felt like a very good VHS version rather than a Digital edition.

Extras:The only extra is a trailer for the film which was in many ways better than the actual movie.

Overall:The movie tells a great tale about what happens when communications break down in a relationship. Ironically, the title of the film is really what the characters needed to do a whole lot more of. As the film wound down & the ending made it's way round, I'm afraid I didn't much care about either one of the characters or their problems. I think it's at least worth a rental but, That's about it. I would have really enjoyed the exchanges between Gena Rowlands & Robert Duvall had they spanned the entire movie. Actually, that would have been a much better movie!
