Behind WF Tough Enough
Some of the footage is recycled from the first set. Most of the interview and extra footage of the characters was included on the first disc. What is new is a lot of behind the scenes stuff. Aside from the unused submission tapes there are several more hilarious sections.
The disc starts off with the rejects. These were rejects for obvious reasons. I would seriously contact the police about the one who calls himself the Janitor, serious problems with that one. Next we get to see a few more cut moments from the auditions in New York. There's noting great here, but interesting. The next two sections focus on the contestants and trainers. More footage is included that wasn't in the original show, but nothing amazing either.
The second best section has to be the Morons section. This is all of the bloopers and stupid, everyday stuff that the cast did. Great footage in this section and extremely real, the type of stuff everyone will relate to. That Romantic Feeling shows the cast (mostly Darryl) talking about their relationships and feelings. Mostly funny because of the way Darryl looks at himself.
The last half of the disc is more basic cut footage. The cast gripes about the others they don't like in more detail than on the show. The WWF guest star footage is reused again and the five finalists are show again, along with their chats with Vince McMahon.
Video: Same as the other set. The footage that's reused from the show looks good. It's all 4:3 since it was from television, but the additional footage isn't as good looking. It hasn't gone through the post-production that the rest has and it's obvious, but not distracting.
Audio: Same as above. The audio that was included on the show is a great digital stereo mix, but the additional audio suffers from a lack of production. Most is easily understandable and really doesn't distract from the viewing, except in a technical opinion.
Extras: This disc of extras has a few extras itself. There is a music video for rap/rock pioneers Biohazard and their song "Sell Out." Also, there are text bios of all 13 cast members that link to their submission tapes in their entirety. This is nothing new, it was on the First Season set, but it's done in a nice way.
Overall: It's a nice bonus to the First Season set, but not necessary. This really should have been included for free in the original set and it's obvious it's there to make money. This could have been included -minus the profanity-and nothing would have been lost. It's fun, but not a necessity.
