Artisan has announced the 3rd DVD release for Stargate - The Movie. Set for release on February 18th Stargate: The Ultimate Edition and will feature a new remastered 2.35:1 transfer (enhanced for 16x9 TVs) with Dolby Digital 5.1 EX and DTS 6.1 ES audio and feature both the original theatrical version of the film and a 'Director's Cut' (which substitutes alternate footage for some scenes and includes about 9 minutes of additional material) audio commentary with Director Roland Emmerich and producer Dean Devlin, a making-of featurette, and an “Is There a Stargate?” featurette with Chariots of the Gods author Erich von Daniken.
