An interesting mix of movies coming to DVD this week including: the Academy Award Winning The Pianist an extremely touching films, Talk to Her Pedro Almodovar's extremely well written film , PBS's Manor House [Review] a reality TV series with a historical twist that is simply fantastic, Love Liza [Review] a supremely subtle performance by Philip Seymour Hoffman in a very heavy film, The Recruit [Review] watch it for another solid performance by Colin Farrell, Dead or Alive Director's Cut [Review] Takashi Miike's explosive ultra-violent action flick, The Criterion Collection release of Throne of Blood [Review] Akira Kurosawa's adaptation of Macbeth, and Good Burger while not a Criterion edition, it's still is a DVD Talk Favorite.
