DVD Savant: Billy Wilder Collection, Fidel & SNL: 25 Years of Music
This week the DVD Savant takes a look at the first round of DVDs from the The Billy Wilder Collection including: One, Two, Three, Avanti!, The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes and Kiss Me, Stupid. Savant also takes a look at First Run Features' Fidel- a documentary on the Cuban revolutionary, Lion's Gate's Saturday Night Live: 25 Years of Music - a quarter century of live performances and musical skits in a 5 disc set, Images Salomé, and the early talkie experiment Lot in Sodom, Fox's studio classics of the Ingrid Bergman vehicle Inn of the Sixth Happiness and MGM's Rhapsody in August - Akira Kurosawa's postscript to the atomic bombing of Japan, 45 years after the fact.
