Docurama - William Gibson DVD
Docurama has taken the wraps off their next wave of excellent documentaries all arriving on November 25th including the fascinating documentary William Gibson - No Maps for These Documentaries - a road trip with the cyber punk founding author (whose recent book Pattern Recognition is simply amazing). No maps takes a look at North America on the edge of a new millennium from Gibson's unique perspective. The Political Documentary See How They Run - which follows the battle between political heavyweight Willie Brown and the openly gay write-in candidate Tom Ammiano and their David v. Goliath battle. A look at the true stores behind the famed Appalachian photographer Shelby Lee Adams The True Meaning of Pictures - a hit at this year's Sundance film fest, and Pandemic: Facing Aids, the five part mini series by Rory Kennedy takes a look at the spread of AIDS across the world, it's an unflinching documentary that takes a real personal look at the global epidemic.
