Hidden Gems - Films Not To Overlook
With so many major DVD releases out this season, it's extremely easy to overlook great 'Hidden Gems' on DVD, so here are several we suggest you seek out: So Close - a Chinese martial arts film, kind of an Asian "Charlie's Angels," but more fun and innovative, Off The Charts -a documentary about odd people who write lyrics and have them produced as songs, MI-5: Volume 1 - this BBC series is one of the best surprises of the year, Gerry - Gus Van Sant's prelude to Elephant is as inventive as it is beautiful, Wild Zero - the best Japanese rock-and-roll zombie splatter-comedy fat-packed with action on the market today, Melvin Goes to Dinner the directorial debut of Mr Show's Bob Odenkirk is very entertaining and very highly recommended, Wire in the Blood: Mermaids Singing- a psychological thriller that will keep you glued to your set.
