As far as notable DVDs go, this week belongs to The Incredibles [Review]. Put simply, if you aren't buying, renting or begging for The Incredibles this week, you're probably out of the country. Never fear, it's not the ONLY DVD released this week, and you'll want to make sure you make room for these other great notable DVDs, including: Sword of Doom: Criterion Collection [Review] - a bleak and grisly drama with one of the best endings in a samurai film you'll see, Laura [Review] - a solid mystery/noir with a stellar cast and a couple of nicely executed plot twist, Alfie [Review] - a softened update to the classic 1966 film, but if you're a fan of Jude Law it's one to check out, Star Trek: First Contact [Review] - an upgrade to the previously released DVD including much better audio and video and Toolbox Murders [Review] - a good re-imaging of a classic horror film.
