This Week's Notable DVDs - Spaceballs, National Treasure & Sandlot 2
A solid selection of notable DVDs this week including:
National Treasure [Review] - Nicolas Cage leads a fun trill-filled adventure that harkens back to Indy Jones;
Spaceballs: SE [The Review] - with the Star Wars Saga wrapping up, it's a nice reminder not to take it all too seriously; Phantom of the Opera: SE [Review] - a 2 disc special edition that goes a long way towards enhancing the film; Microcosmos [Review] - a fantastic journey into the day in the life of a serene alpine meadow, from a bug's point of view;
Star Trek Enterprise S1 [Review] - a spendy release for the latest Star Trek franchise; The Big Red One: Reconstruction - Sam Fuller revisits his classic war film and the result is fascinating; Pocahontas: SE [Review] - as beautiful a hand-drawn animated film as has been seen in the past 10 years;
Sandlot 2 [Review] - while not exactly in the same class as the original, is certainly funny, charming, and sincere. Other notable DVDs this week include: The Chorus, Go Further and Invader ZIM - House Box [Review].
