New DVD Reviews: Seven Men From Now, The Great Raid and The Island
Now with over 14,300 DVD reviews in the DVD Talk Review Database, it's easy to overlook some of the great reviews. Recent DVD Reviews include: Seven Men from Now - one the best B-budget Westerns of the 1950s - not to be missed; The Great Raid - one of the years most overlooked films; Tony Takitani - a fine and evocative little movie whose quietude is just as effective on repeat viewings; Touch Me in the Morning - truly cutting edge cinema - a new form being developed and explored right before our non-believing, befuddled eyes; The Island - sketchy and messy on several levels, but it's also plain ol' escapist fare that boasts a lot of zing; The Magnificent Seven: S1 - wildly entertaining, one of the best western TV shows we've seen; Green Acres: S3 - One of the best sitcoms of the 1960s, it somehow maintained its high standard of comedy through Year Three, with no signs of slowing. Visit the DVD Talk Review Database for all the latest reviews including an entire section devoted to reviews of DVDs out this week.
