This Week's Notable DVDs: Capote, The Squid and The Whale and Keane
A fantastic week for notable DVDs including: Capote [Review] - Philip Seymour Hoffman is simply amazing in this well crafted film; The Squid & The Whale - one of the most overlooked films of 2005 should be one of the most sought out DVDs this year; Everything Is Illuminated [Review] - Elijah Wood is superb as the lead in Liev Schreiber's adaptation of Jonathan Safran Foer's popular novel; Huff: S1 [Review] - Hank Azaria finally gets his shot at a lead role and he hits it out of the park with this not-to-be-missed series; Keane [Review] - an unforgettable film, one fueled by Damian Lewis' searing performance and Kerrigan's willingness to get in close and stay there. Other notable DVDs out this week include: Chicken Little [Review],
Dear Wendy [Review],
The Dying Gaul [Review],
Over There: Season 1 and
South Park: S7 [Review].
