TV on DVD Reviews: Boondocks, Dog Whisperer, and Sgt. Bilko
Some great TV on DVD releases reviewed this week including: The Boondocks: S1 (Uncensored) - another [adult swim] success story whose controversial beginnings as a comic strip actually helped the animated series gain popularity and critical acclaim; Dog Whisperer: S1 - a strange, yet endearing, show about dog behaviorist and best-selling author Cesar Millan and his mission to "rehabilitate" some hard-to-manage canines; Sgt. Bilko: Phil Silvers Show - 50th Anniversary Edition - a hilarious show that helped paved the way for countless sitcoms of its kind and, unfortunately, became a victim of its own success; Night Stalker: Complete Series - the recent television remake of the cult classic 1972 series that might not live up to its predecessors greatness but still provides some quality entertainment; Jeff Dunham: Arguing With Myself - the clever ventriloquist's Comedy Central special already makes it to DVD with some interesting special features; Joey: S1 - the Friends spin-off that failed to find an audience during its television run hopes to get a few laughs this time around.
