New DVD Reviews: The Ground Truth, Feast and Tickets
Now with over 17,000 DVD reviews in the DVD Talk Review Database, it's easy to overlook some of the great reviews. Recent DVD Reviews include: The Ground Truth - a brutal, poignant reminder that those scores of U.S. soldiers fighting on our behalf are suffering, bearing wounds that will echo, like silent death, through future generations; Feast - Project Greenlight finally produces a movie more engaging than the show itself and after a short theatrical run it appears on DVD;
Tickets - three big-time international directors: Ermanno Olmi, Abbas Kiarostami and Ken Loach come together to make a brilliant three part anthology that should not be missed; The Quiet Duel - an interesting failure, a mess of a movie, admirably offbeat, with many fine components; Dust Devil: The Final Cut - a visually astounding film on a five disc set that even surpasses the film itself. Visit the DVD Talk Review Database for all the latest reviews including an entire section devoted to reviews of DVDs out this week.
