DVD Savant: Forbidden Planet, Pandora's Box and Marlon Brando Collection
This week the DVD Savant has a number of new reviews including: Forbidden Planet Ultimate Collector's Edition - this lavish set includes a newly remastered main feature, a second feature and several other top extras; Pandora's Box - G. W. Pabst' 1928 German classic testifies to the legend of Louise Brooks; The Paul Newman Collection - an interesting group of pictures includes Newman's breakthrough feature; The Super Inframan - this 1975 Hong Kong melange of Kung-Fu, Kaiju and campy villains pits the bionic Inframan against a horde of rubber monsters; Oh! What a Lovely War - Richard Attenborough's 1970 directing debut is one of the most unusual musicals ever; Mutiny on the Bounty (1962) - Marlon Brando calls the shots in this beautiful and dynamic version of the famous novel; The Marlon Brando Collection - Warners collects a quintet of Brando's work from 1963 to 1980.
