TV on DVD Reviews: American Dad, Larry King Live and Moral Orel
A ton of TV on DVD releases reviewed recently including: American Dad: Vol. 2 - when it does what it does best, namely topical, out-there comedy, it's right up there with the best animated sitcoms; Larry King Live - The Greatest Interviews - has a lot to offer, particularly for its historical/archival value with a great many newsmakers of the past 20-plus years; Moral Orel, Vol. 1, The Unholy Edition - an excellent satire of religious extremists and a parody of the traditional family sitcom; Beverly Hills, 90210: Season 2 - engaging drama that range from common and not-so-common teenage angst to soapy melodrama situations; Melrose Place - Season 2 - plenty of soapy content to draw you in, and even more to keep coming back for more; Michael Palin's Around the World in 80 Days - it's impossible to put into words how magnificent and moving a series like this truly is; Robson Arms - The Complete First Season - one of the best "dramedies" to come along in a long time.
