TV on DVD Reviews: C.S.I. NY, The War and Jericho
A ton of notable TV on DVD reviews this week including: The War: A Film by Ken Burns and Lynn Novick - For documentary fans and WWII buffs alike, Ken Burns' The War offers a thoughtful portrait of life on the front line and back home in America; Jericho: The Complete First Season - proved that given the right incentives, it could become the kind of show that fans always thought it could be; providing hope for the future as the show got a third life in large part due to their efforts; C.S.I. New York - The Third Season - The series took a detour from the "C.S.I." playbook in the third season, focusing more on plot-driven stories than character-driven stories, and the results are several stand-out mysteries and a finale that's just unbelievable. Other recent TV on DVD reviews include: Doctor Who - Survival, Hannah Montana - Life's What You Make It, Ironside - Season 2, Jesse James: Legend, Outlaw, Terrorist, Robert Klein: The HBO Specials 1975-2005.
