This Week's Notable DVDs: Michael Clayton, American Gangster, In the Valley of Elah
Michael ClaytonAnother banner week for DVDs with the studios releasing some great films and boxed sets such as:  Michael Clayton[review 1] [review 2] - an engaging, engrossing thriller about the backroom deals made by lawyers and their corporate clients and the lengths they will go to preserve their financial standing; American Gangster [review] - Ridley Scott's big-budgeted procession of star power and expansive storytelling; and In the Valley of Elah - a probing and powerful look at a nation and the young soldiers it sends into battle staring Oscar-winning actors Tommy Lee Jones, Charlize Theron and Susan Sarandon; Other releases of note include:  Les Miserables - The 10th Anniversary Dream Cast in Concert at London's Royal Albert Hall [review], Margot at the Wedding [review],  For The Bible Tells Me So [review], Pierrot le Fou - Criterion Collection, and Kurt Cobain - About a Son.
