TV on DVD: Dresden, Dark Shadows, and Hotel Babylon
TV on DVD remains very popular with more and more favorites being released. New TV reviews include:
Dresden - this program is a rousing epic, the sort of thing for which larger-than-life TV miniseries were designed; Hotel Babylon (Season 1) - this subtle, ironic show takes the viewer back to the assured confidence of 60s Hollywood features with a cool, detached tone that's refreshing in comparison to today's tacky nighttime dramas; and Dark Shadows: The Beginning Collection 3 - From characters you can cuddle up with to situations that play out like a John Waters movie, this is a wonderfully weird and entertaining endeavor; Other shows include: Lillie, Johnny and the Sprites - Meet the Sprites, and another reviewer's take on Hogfather.
