DVD Savant: There Will Be Blood, High Noon, and Patton
This week the DVD Savant has a number of new reviews including: There Will Be Blood - Blu-ray - Last years winner for Best Cinematography comes to Blu-ray, fitting the entire feature and all of the 2-Disc's extras into one; High Noon: Ultimate Collector's Edition - Lionsgate makes Artisan's old, ordinary Collector's Edtion bite the dust: this release finally has a quality transfer of Fred Zinnemann's western classic. Confused politics, great entertainment for Gary Cooper fans; and Patton - The Dimension 150 65mm photography transfers beautifully to this Blu-ray disc of George C. Scott's greatest performance. With a pile of extras generated on at least three previous DVD releases. A great 'library film' demo disc for Blu-ray. Read all this and more in this week's DVD Savant.
