Introducing: The DVD Talk Criterion Film Club
Tired of the typical Hollywood fare and looking for a place to discuss quality films that don't rely on special effects to gather an audience? Well look no further that DVD Talk's new Criterion Film Club! Each week a different release from Criterion's ever growing collection of DVDs is discussed. The first week Nagisa Oshima's Empire of Passion (Ai no borei) was covered and last week club members talked about George Washington. This week the film up for discussion is Orson Welles's free-form documentary F for Fake. Future films include The Ruling Class (9/7), Do the Right Thing (9/14), and Jigoku (9/21). Interested? Just watch the movie and join the fun in the discussions in the Reviews forum! You can get all the details here, in the main Criterion Film Club thread. Special thanks goes out to Griffin Glass for starting the club and all of the participants who have made it so much fun!
