In a time of Twilight and The Vampire Diaries it's refreshing to see someone put a spin on this overly populated genre. That someone is the Spierig Brothers. They've delivered a true original with a fully realized world, unique ideas and a heap of well-executed blood-work. It's a hybrid of science fiction and horror and it works. It also happens to be a great amount of fun that marks for an impressive second feature film for the Spierig brothers.
