Another banner week for DVDs and Blu-rays with the studios releasing some great films such as: Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog [Blu-ray review] - an absolutely wonderful gem of a comedy; Stagecoach - Criterion Collection [DVD review, Blu-ray review] - The movie that made John Wayne a star and revitalized the western stand the test of time and comes highly recommended; and By Brakhage: An Anthology, Volumes One and Two [Blu-ray review] - It's impossible not to marvel at the staggering effort that went into assembling this collection of more than fifty of Stan Brakhage's experimental films. It's not a total loss however.
