DVDTalk Interview: Writer/Director Aaron Burns
Anime Talk DVDTalk.com writer Neil Lumbard recently had an opportunity to discuss the art and craft of film-making, the magic of Robert Rodriguez, the influence of Jurassic Park, the genius of Mark Twain, the importance of a John Hughes DVD Commentary Track, the 2011 SXSW Film Festival, and naturally the feature film blacktino with it's writer/director newcomer Aaron Burns. The film stars Austin Marshall as a really nerdy fat black high school student named Stefan. While the film focuses on his mishaps with friends and family, it also demonstrates how the theater at his school can become an outlet for his expression. The film also features awesome cameos by Rodriguez regulars Danny Trejo, Michelle Rodriguez, Jeff Fahey, and Daryl Sabara. Read what the filmmaker had to say about these topics and more in the latest DVDTalk Interview.
