New Movie Reviews: Super 8, Beginners, and The Ward
J.J. Abrams and Steven Spielberg team up to make a special film of nostalgia and terror, captured on Super 8. Brian Orndorf and Tyler Foster both review the film. Ewan McGregor contemplates life, love, and his gay father in the drama Beginners. Read reviews from Brian Orndorf and Jamie S. Rich. And master of horror John Carpenter returns after a decade to helm the chiller The Ward. Also in theaters: A kid-lit heroine makes for awful cinema in Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer. And Norway is overrun with monsters, requiring the services of the Trollhunter. Be sure to catch reviews of other recent Theatrical Films: X-Men: First Class, The Tree of Life, Midnight in Paris, The Hangover: Part II, Submarine, We Are the Night, Kung Fu Panda 2, Too Big to Fail, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, Bridesmaids, and Fast Five.
