This Week's Notable DVDs: Willy Wonka & Chocolate Factory, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, and Red State
Some pretty cool discs are being released this week. Check out these new titles: Willy Wonka & Chocolate Factory: 40th Anniversary Ultimate Collector's Edition [Blu-ray review] - a timeless classic - Wilder's performance is too good to ever have an expiration date and this release is the most complete version to date, especially with the book included; Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides [Blu-ray review] - the best Pirates film since the first; and Red State [DVD review] - Kevin Smith has done an impressive job of delivering a film that is exciting and tense.
Other reviews of note include Page One: Inside The New York Times [Blu-ray review], Beats, Rhymes & Life: The Travels of a Tribe Called Quest [Blu-ray review, a second Blu-ray review], and The Last Circus [Blu-ray review].
