This Week's Notable Releases: Burt Wonderstone, Jack Taylor, and Upside Down
Some really good shows and movies are being released this week along with some high profile flicks... unfortunately the latter group doesn't necessarily fit into the former. Read DVD Talk's reviews of the these new discs to see which is which : The Incredible Burt Wonderstone [review, a second review in case the first one didn't convince you] - comedy superstars Steve Carell and Jim Carrey are in this movie that ranks up there with Zohan and The Love Guru; Jack Taylor: Set 1 [review] - a new spin on the classic booze-addled PI, these Irish telefilms feature unrelenting, dark stories, viewers will find incredibly satisfying; and Upside Down [review] - there's a unique, visionary work from Argentinian-French filmmaker Juan Solanas buried in here somewhere, but chasm-sized lapses in basic logic make it a bit hard to find.
Other reviews of note include No [review], Wild Bill: Hollywood Maverick [review], and Pusher [review].
Be sure to check out our DVD Talk Review Database for all the latest reviews including an entire section devoted to reviews of DVDs out this week.
