TV on DVD: Sgt. Bilko, Olive Kitteridge, and Noir
TV on DVD remains very popular with more and more favorites being released. New TV reviews include:
Sgt. Bilko - The Phil Silvers Show: The Second Season - one of the great neglected sitcom classics... Phil Silvers is a one-of-a-kind performer, beautifully paired with the sensibility of show creator Nat Hiken; Olive Kitteridge - this strange and wonderful HBO mini-series, adapted from Elizabeth Strout's novel, is a rare jewel, finely crafted and vividly brought to life; and Noir: Complete Series - a superb dark action series with great animation and superb music.
Other shows recently reviewed include: Tokyo Ravens: Part One, Perry Mason Movie Collection Double Feature 8: The Case Of The Silenced Singer / The Case Of The Defiant Daughter, and Z Nation: The Complete First Season.
