This Week's Notable Releases: Son of Saul, Krampus, and The Kennedy Films of Robert Drew
Some great discs are being released this week. Check out these new movies:
Son of Saul [review] - the 2016 Oscar winner for Best Foreign Language Film this story of a man risking his life to give a dead young boy a proper Jewish burial in the Auschwitz concentration camp is powerfully undeniable and a stunning movie; and Krampus [review] - Michael Dougherty's film blends fantasy, horror, comedy, and demented visual whimsy in with a dysfunctional family Christmas flick... it is infectiously fun; and The Kennedy Films of Robert Drew & Associates [review] - this collection is a must-own both for history buffs and those interested in the development of documentary film.
