Some pretty cool discs have made their way to store shelves over the past couple of weeks. Check out these new titles: Sid & Nancy - Alex Cox's excellent second feature film chronicles the short life of Sid Vicious, second bass player for The Sex Pistols, and his self-destructive relationship with his drug-addict girlfriend, Nancy Spungen; Barton Fink - this Coen Brothers film holds up well… at times darkly comedic and at other times, lighter but almost always consistently funny even when it takes us into some decidedly strange territory; and My Blue Heaven - a breezy character-driven comedy… Steve Martin, Rick Moranis, and company do a great job with the material, with Martin crushing it as an over-the-top New York gangster stereotype.
