Notable Releases: My Neighbor Totoro, Barry Lyndon, and Three O'Clock High
Some pretty cool discs have made their way to store shelves over the past couple of weeks. Check out these new titles:
My Neighbor Totoro - while global audiences were aware of Japanese animation, this one from Hayao Miyazaki broke those barriers open in delivering an endearing mythological creature easily seen as a manifestation of youthful, innocent imagination; Barry Lyndon - the Criterion Collection's two disc Blu-ray special edition release of Stanley Kubrick's film is an excellent release of an excellent film… the presentation is perfect and the extras both extensive and interesting; and Three O'Clock High - the debut film by director Phil Joanou, this movie revolve around the circumstances that force a high schooler to confront his fears and demons against the biggest demon of all a school bully .
