Notable Releases: My Neighbor Totoro, Barry Lyndon, and Three O'Clock High
My Neighbor Totoro Some pretty cool discs have made their way to store shelves over the past couple of weeks. Check out these new titles: My Neighbor Totoro - while global audiences were aware of Japanese animation, this one from Hayao Miyazaki broke those barriers open in delivering an endearing mythological creature easily seen as a manifestation of youthful, innocent imagination; Barry Lyndon - the Criterion Collection's two disc Blu-ray special edition release of Stanley Kubrick's film is an excellent release of an excellent film… the presentation is perfect and the extras both extensive and interesting; and Three O'Clock High - the debut film by director Phil Joanou, this movie revolve around the circumstances that force a high schooler to confront his fears and demons against the biggest demon of all a school bully . Be sure to check out our DVD Talk Review Database for all the latest reviews including an entire section devoted to reviews of DVDs out this week.
