Desert Bloom Director Eugene Corr assembles a touching portrait of a peculiarly American place and time, Las Vegas in the Atom-crazy 1950s, as seen through the eyes of a teenage girl. A well-observed drama with interesting characters played by JoBeth Williams, Jon Voight, Ellen Barkin and Annabeth Gish, and one of the few movies to look at the subject matter as civilians experienced it.   2/23/03 Posted by DVD Savant at February 23, 2003 08:57 AM
