Limelight
Charlie's ode to the 1914 London Music Hall is a sentimental excuse to present
himself as a loveable but proud genius beloved by all and looking for a dignified
exit from living. Really only for confirmed Chaplin fans, and corny in the extreme,
it's nevertheless an excellent movie. Part of MK2/Warner's controversial new series
of Chaplin releases.
