Great acting, casting and production design can't help a movie with a dud script; The next year's LA Confidential
takes place in the same setting and practically wiped the memory of this one. But there are great scenes with Nick Nolte,
Melanie Griffith, Chazz Palmintieri and Jennifer Connelly. From MGM.
