The most heartwarming as well as the funniest of the all-black musicals is a film blanc battle royale between Heaven's angels and Lucifer's "Idea Men" of the infernal Hotel Hades. Ethel Waters, Eddie Anderson and Lena Horne are only the top of a cast that includes Louis Armstrong and Duke Ellington, directed by Vincente Minnelli. Warners.
