Movie: The third, and maybe last, installment in the Poison Ivy Trilogy, Poison Ivy: The New Seduction, is not as good as the first two, but if you're hard up for soft core sex, or you just like this genre, you'll like this one. Remember Ivy? Al the back from our first movie in the series? Well, meet her sister, Violet (Jaime Pressly), who seems to be just as sexually lethal as her big sister. According to the story, Violet's mother was involved in an affair with one of Violet's friend's father. After the affair was discovered, her life was ruined and she took Violet to another town to start over. But eleven years later Violet is all grown up and decides to move back to her childhood home. She finds and soon moves in with her former best friend Joy, the same girl whose father had an affair with Violet's mother. But Violet is not back in town to make nice, she wants some revenge on Joy's family for the pain the father's affair caused her. She uses the same weapon her sister used, the power of spreading her legs, to bring Joy's father and fiance into the realm of sin. But after Violet gets her revenge, what will she do?

Video: Poison Ivy: The New Seduction is presented in 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen, with the choice of full screen also offered. This visual transfer continues the high grade expected from New Line, with only small errors to report. The colors are usually vivid and lush, but some scenes feature muted colors, which can be a little distracting, considering how great the rest of the movie looks. Black levels are correct, showing fantastic detail in even the darkest shadows. Flesh tones appear natural, and compression errors were missing, thankfully.

Audio: Like the other discs in this series, this one contains both 2.0 surround and 5.1 tracks. I only listened to the 5.1, given the high quality I heard on the first film. Like the other movies in the series, this is not an audio fueled movie, but for the genre, it sounds solid. Dialogue is clear and at a nice volume, solving the "too quiet/too loud" error on the second disc in the set. Some minor surround effects can be heard, but the majority of the audi remains in the front channels.

Extras: You get your choice of viewing the "R" rated version, or the unrated cut which features two minutes of extra flesh footage. This movie has enough breasts to make anyone happy, so if that's what you want, this is your disc. The only other extra is some talent files. Again, a television spot would have been nice.
