Best of Insomniac With Dave Attell: Uncensored Vol. 2: SE
Short Takes
CineSchlockers should be well familiar with Dave Attell's hilarious graveyard-shift travelogue from when Volume One was featured in this column earlier this spring. Now Volume Two hits shelves and the wait's paid off with TWO discs and twice the episodes of its predecessor -- from just five to TEN episodes, including Mr. Attell's hour-long Amsterdam excursion. Each without any of those pesky bleeps and blurs pooping the party. What's more, four shows boast hysterical commentaries by Dave and producer/directors Nick McKinney and Dave Hamilton. Dig into the second disc for 15 more minutes of uncensored hijinks such as a drunken honey in Key West who schools our host on nether piercings. Here's your bar-hopping checklist: Key West Season 4, Episode 5; Austin Season 4, Episode 6; Miami Season 1, Episode 3; Boise Season 2, Episode 4; Anchorage Season 3, Episode 5; Kansas City, Missouri Season 1, Episode 5; Charleston Season 2, Episode 9; Amsterdam Season 4, Episode 1; Las Vegas Season 4, Episode 2 and, as always, New York City Season 4, Episode 10. Phew! But that still leaves only 15 of 40 episodes available on disc. Come on, Comedy Central, fans demand SEASONAL releases!!! (2001-2003, 235 mins, Fullframe, DD 2.0, Commentary, Deleted scenes, Clips from Dave's spots on Crank Yankers and Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn, plus "Great Moments in Hook Up History" from Chappelle's Show.)
for additional reviews and bonus features.
