THE MOVIE
Peach DVD is the softcore branch of Vivid Pictures, one of the biggest producers of couples-friendly hardcore in the world. Erotic Gallery is one of the latest releases from Peach, and while you won't get any hardcore action here…you will get the next best thing: beautiful women in sexy outfits who eventually strip down to nothing and show everything. For those interested in porn that want to test the waters before they dive into some serious sexual action, these Peach releases make the perfect introductory discs.
Erotic Gallery is broken up into three main sections – "Midnight Impressions", "Private Collection" and the Bonus Material section. Here's a summary of the first two sections…with the bonus material covered in the "Extras" section of this review:
"Midnight Impressions"
This section of the DVD is broken up into four clips, with each clip running about six minutes in length.
The first clip features Olivia Del Rio, one of the women on this DVD who you will be able to find in hardcore movies, if you want to see her get a little kinkier. Here, she's wearing a very sexy purple bra and panties, along with some black hose and garters. Like all of the women you'll see in these clips, Olivia exposes her upper body first and by the time the clip is over, has removed most of her clothing. You won't see penetration of any sort on this disc…but this is about as close as you can get without actually getting there.
The second clip features Nissa, a brunette who is wearing some black lingerie.
Clip three showcases Kayla, a redhead wearing a pink and black-colored teddy.
The final clip in this section gives us two girls – Teanna (an Asian beauty) and the return of Olivia Del Rio. While the girls don't lick or kiss each other, they do spend a great deal of time touching each other and rubbing body parts together.
"Private Collection"
This is another collection of four different clips, featuring four more very attractive ladies.
Clip one brings us box cover girl Rachel Elizabeth in a sexy one-piece leopard print outfit.
The next clip has Honey, a girl with blondish-brown hair, posing her stuff in front of a set that is supposed to represent an art gallery. Even with all the paintings surrounding her, Honey is still the best-looking item in the scene.
Clip three takes place in the same place as Honey's clip, and is performed by Kira, who's wearing a see-through pink mesh outfit.
The final clip in this section stars Mackenzie, who is working out at the gym and slowly strips out of a teal top and panties.
THE DVD
Video:
Presented in the full-frame format, the video here is remarkably sharp for such a product, and on par with what you'll find among even the big studio DVD releases. Colors are sharp, skin tones are excellent (all-important for this disc!) and the transfer of these shot-on-video segments is very nicely done.
Audio:
The audio is presented in 2.0 Dolby, and although it's far less impressive than the video, it is serviceable. Since most of the audio is just "elevator" music that provides background to the girls stripping, there's really no reason for a 5.1 or higher track.
Extras:
Each of the eight scenes mentioned above include two more additional Multiple Angles to view, for a total of three angles for each scene. These three angles generally consist of the master shot, a closer look at the action, and an third angle which generally comes from the side – almost as if you were standing just off-stage as the action was filmed.
One of the coolest bonus features is a Match & Win Game that will unlock a bonus scene if you can uncover the matching pictures from a group of nine. Don't worry…the two matching pictures stay in the same place, so it's just a process of elimination before one can uncover the bonus scene. What makes the bonus scene cool to discover is that it's actually the best scene on the DVD, giving viewers not one…not two…but four sexy girls stripping and fondling each other!
There's also a 10-minute Behind The Scenes featurette, which gives viewers a chance to get to know the girls a little better, as well as see how the shoot took place. Other bonuses include a Slide Show and four Trailers for other Peach DVDs.
THE BOTTOM LINE
Filled with beautiful women who both pose and strip for the home viewer, there's a lot to like about Erotic Gallery. However, once you've "seen the goods" (so to speak!), there's not much replay value to this DVD. Therefore, it makes a perfect rental, but it's not something you'll want to add to your shelf. Just make sure to rent it on a night when the girlfriend or wife isn't at home!
