He has an MA in Cultural Reporting and Criticism from NYU, and is a blogger and film editor for Flavorwire. He is also a contributor to the Atlantic, Slate, and Salon. His first book, Pulp Fiction: The Complete History of Quentin Tarantino's Masterpiece, was released last fall by Voyageur Press. He lives with his wife Rebekah and their daughter Lucy.
