Short Takes

Originally intended as a pilot for late-night cable, this name-only sexploitation spoof of the FOX sitcom stars B-sensation Misty Mundae as free-lovin' Petal who, along with bunk buddy A.J. Khan, coaxes and tokes straight-arrow roomies Kelli Summers and Julian Wells into one swingin' sapphic scene after another -- nearly half the running time's worth. Although none of these scantly attended, bare-nekkid peace rallies outshine Seduction Cinema's previous ogle fests and the comedy relies on lame pot jokes and sight gags involving female grooming habits. However, curious viewers will howl as CineSchlocker muse John Link repeatedly rehearses his lines during the behind-the-scenes footage. Eight breasts. TWO gratuitous shower scenes (both with self-gratification). Advanced lesbian tongue rasslin. Reefer madness. Gratuitous spit take. Tickling. Petal defends her lifestyle choice: "Being a hippie ain't bad. It makes me horny, you know?" (2004, 50 mins, Fullframe, DD 2.0, Featurette, Outtakes, Retro bonus flick, Trailers. Note: Due to a last minute production decision, hardcore scenes from Nick Philips' grindhouse relic Dr. Christina of Sweden were replaced with tamer visuals from Nick's Pleasures of a Woman. Dr. Christina will be reissued with another line-pushing Philips flick later this year.)
