The feature is divided into eleven chapters, which include opening and closing credits. There are also video profiles (segments with narration and nakedness) with two other playmates included.

Overall, I did not care much for this release. I think I fail to understand the excitement of thirty minutes of narration and nakedness about the Playboy's latest and hottest playmate of the year. The format and content is pretty much the same. In other words, if you have been dulled by a Playboy DVD, then Kara Monaco revealing all probably won't be appealing. However, if you find you desire to see this blonde bombshell naked and learn about her personality, give this DVD a try. But if you ask me, I suggest skipping it entirely. It is not worth the time or money.

The DVD

Video:
The DVD box cover claims the feature is presented in its original aspect ratio of 1.78:1 ratio widescreen color. This is partly true. The feature is presented in both widescreen color and 1.33:1 ratio full screen color. The video jumps back and forth between the two. During the widescreen segments, the picture is letterboxed. The quality is pretty good and one of the best things about this release. The picture looks fairly clean. However, there are portions when high movement appears choppy. In general, color and flesh tones look quite rich.

Audio:
The audio is given in 2.0 Dolby digital stereo sound. The sound quality is good, except it offers very little distinction in separation between channels. There is a lot of spoken dialogue, most of which occurs concurrently with background music. Both are quite easy to hear.

Final Thoughts:
The 2006 Playmate of the Year presents a meager fifty-four minute feature about Playboy's hottest playmate Kara Monaco (although only thirty minutes are devoted to Kara). This DVD also includes more of Kara in several different featurettes as extras. The content provides narration and nakedness, which will be appealing to you if you have a strong urge to see Kara in the buff. While I won't argue she's great looking, I fail to see the appeal of this sort of DVD. Nothing really happens and it is easy to lose interest. I suggest you skip it.
