The Movie:

Continuing in the time-honored tradition of nudie-parodies of major theatrical releases, "The Sexy 6th Sense" simply seemed too funny to pass up when the opportunity to review it arose. There's been tons of these flicks ("Erotic Witch Project", "Erotic Survivor", "Erotic Twister" (er, not that last one). "The Sexy 6th Sense" generally takes a slight bit of the theatrical film's plot and makes a rather funny spoof out of it. The film certainly knows what it is - it's certainly not an attempt to do much more than shoehorn as many nude women as possible into the picture.

I'll allow Butthead (of Beavis and Butthead fame) to summarize the plot: "Uh, there's like this real dorky guy named Francis. And, uh, suddenly he sees this naked chick and she's like, really into herself. Then there's, like, another chick and another and another. There was one, then two and uh, what comes after two? But, they were really into each other and they even started like, making out and stuff. Huh uhuh huh." Beavis: "Yeah! There were like tons of naked chicks making out and stuff!"

Seriously, the plot revolves around dorky Frances (who looks almost exactly like Waldo from "Where's Waldo?"), who tells us his secret as the movie opens: "I see dead strippers!" And, well, that's really the plot right there. He sees them and he sees them climbing all over each other on a bed in front of him. There's even one scene involving two of the girls, whipped cream and other food products - let's just say, they certainly didn't look uncomfortable with each other. I'd have to say a good 75% of the film involves multiple women getting intimate with one another - obviously the filmmakers were smart and knew that plot was not exactly the main attraction; "The Sexy Sixth Sense" isn't exactly dialogue-heavy.

"Sexy 6th Sense" doesn't exactly have much in the way of production value. It appears as if they filmed the picture in the director's appartment with his video camera. On the other hand, the girls they've rounded up aren't half bad looking and put in fine, if largely dialogue-free, performances. There's even some amateur special effects as the girls appear out of thin air.

The movie runs for 69 minutes. Coincidence? I think not.

The DVD

VIDEO/AUDIO:: Decent full_frame presentation, appearing as if it was originally shot on someone's home video camera. Sharpness and detail are simply okay and colors look fairly bold. A rather "digital" look and some minor artifacts appear, but nothing that I didn't expect from the material going in. The stereo soundtrack came through clearly, especially with the heavy-metal soundtrack; dialogue occasionally sounded rather shrill, though.

MENUS:: Basic, non-animated menus that have the film's score behind them.

EXTRAS:: Unfortunately, there is no "director's cut" option to cut out the scenes with Frances and just leave the scenes with the women. What features are included are listed below.

On The Couch: Two of the girls - Darian and Esmerelda - take a moment while the crew is setting up to discuss their thoughts about the fact that they're about to make-out with each other. Fascinating and informative.

Topless Interview: Another fascinating and insightful piece, this offers actress Barbara Joyce (topless) discussing her career and some of the previous roles that she's taken on.

Behind-The-Scenes: Instead of interviews, this section is actually a series of outtakes that starts off with one of the girls belching loudly as she prepares for a scene.

Seduction Cinema: The disc's trailer vault houses tons of trailers from past Seduction Cinema releases.

Final Thoughts: Silly and occasionally a funny parody of "Sixth Sense", "Sexy 6th Sense" provided 69 minutes of mildly goofy and sexy entertainment. Some may find it a fun rental.
