General Overview
When I was asked if I'd like to review this DVD, I first laughed, then cringed and then finally said, "YES!" I figure few things could be more entertaining for my neighbors and cats than me prancing around the living room like an Indian princess, and since I'm here to spread joy at my expense, I went with it.

My cats actually hid under a chair most of the time and only came out to stare blankly at me. One neighbor walking his dog stopped and stared as well. What was I doing? How about a little "village idiot", "mermaid splash" and imaginary "canoe rowing" just to name a few of the many eccentric moves.

I actually had a rather enjoyable time jumping around like a fool and I'm definitely sweaty now. I especially like the rowing sequence and the mermaid moves for ab work. Sadly, the three 15-minute segments (Goddess Infusion, Hero and Heroine, and Boogie All Around) are painfully repetitive, and one can only do the village idiot for so long before impatience (and insanity) set in.

If you like Bollywood and for some reason want to recreate the elaborate dance sequences in your loving room or if you just want to jump around like an idiot for 45 minutes, then you will love this DVD. If you're looking for a good workout video that you'll be motivated to do time and time again, move along because you won't find that here.

Equipment Needed
Just your body and ideally some curtains to shield you from the outside world.

Effectiveness
I am sweaty and I did find myself getting into the moves as I bounced around my living room in endless circles. Your heart rate will increase, but this is really just a mild cardio workout.

Safety
There are a lot of side to side movements and I felt that a bit in my bad knee. There are minimal squats and lunges as well, but those weren't a problem. The biggest issue with this workout is making sure you have enough room to move around.

Cast/Instructor
The video is taught by Hemalayaa, a gorgeous Indian woman who also sells yoga and other dance videos. She is joined by Aroon who serves as the "Hero" in the sequence.

Music
Classic Bollywood dance sequence music.

Set
They appear to be on an outdoor stage designed to look rustic and understated. Their gold lamé tops, however, scream SENSATIONALISM.

Video
16:9 widescreen

Bonus Features
The bonus feature was an extra performance in which Hemalayaa and Anoon flail about in a flirtatious free-style romp. Truly, I don't think they choreographed it more than 15 minutes prior to recording (if they did at all).

Negatives
The major downfall for this DVD is the repetitive nature of the dance. Each segment is basically 15 minutes of repetitive jumping in circles and I do believe the second and third segments are almost identical. If you can get past that, it's kind of a fun release.

Conclusion
I hate to hate on this DVD because I really did have some moments of, "Hey this is fun," but those quickly dissipated when I realize I still had 20 minutes of circle hopping to go. Perhaps if they'd left it at two segments and made them longer or actually made the third segment unique, it would've been more enjoyable. This is a fun way to get up and move if you're bored, but I don't think I could do it more than once and wouldn't recommend buying it as a workout DVD.
